Fused Glass Panel and Solid Wood Stand Workshop Reviews

This is a fun activity in Wotton Wawen, Birmingham

In this workshop, you'll learn how to create your own stunning glass panel, perfectly sized to catch the light and bring vibrant colour into your home. Your finished piece will be displayed in a solid wood stand.

Draw inspiration from nature - perhaps a wildflower meadow in full bloom or the shades of blue of the ocean. Perhaps your idea of nature is something more abstract - the choice is yours. You'll discover how to work with an array of bright, eye-catching colours and learn various glass art techniques to achieve your desired effect.

As a beginner-friendly workshop, you'll receive step-by-step guidance throughout the creative process, ensuring you feel confident as you develop your piece. You'll work with high-quality materials while picking up techniques that help you understand the fundamentals of glass art creation.

Tea/coffee and biscuits are provided to fuel your creativity!

At the end of the workshop I will take your piece away for fusing in the kiln and it will be ready to collect from the venue in approximately 7 days time.

The class was enjoyable on the whole. It was adverised as running from 10.00-12.30, however several people including myself had completed the piece by 11.45 and although there was ample time to make another smaller piece - such as a pendant, we were told that was not possible. We were then told the session was over by 12.10. Disappointing really.

We had a super time with Sue. She was very patient with newbies cutting glass and so calm. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and are looking forward to seeing the final kilned results.
