This is a fun activity in Edgware, Harrow
You will do the cooking – not me – our classes are not demonstrations and are completely hands-on and in ‘real time’ - nothing is pre-prepared by me before your class.
You will take home the yummy food which you have made – more than enough for two people - and recipes for all the dishes which you have learnt to make. I want to teach you how to make authentic and delicious Indian food so that you can recreate the dishes in your own home.
My classes take the following format:
- Intro -- Familiarise yourselves and get your apron on.
- Spices -- A thorough talk and discussion about spices.
- Prep -- Cutting, slicing and getting all ingredients ready to cook.
- Cooking -- The fun part!
- Recap -- A recap of everything you've just been taught.
- Q and A -- Let us answer anything you're not sure of.
Menu:
- Bhel Puri - A very popular Mumbai street food dish that is crunchy, soft, sour, sweet, hot and cold.
- Pav Bhaji - A vegetable masala served with buns, topped with onion and coriander chutney.
- Bombay Sandwich - A toasted vegetable sandwich with potato, cheese and chutneys.
- Chai - Traditional ginger and masala tea.
The classes are completely comprehensive and will teach you exactly how and when to use spices. My teaching style is encouraging and informal in a relaxed setting. With each recipe you learn to make we will always give you alternatives so you can change ingredients as you wish.
Classes are held in a purpose-built cookery studio in Edgware, or if you prefer I can come to your home for an extra fee.
