This is a fun activity in Manchester

Celebrate cycling and creativity in this hands-on linocut workshop at Station South in Manchester!

Inspired by Station South’s unique venue—a beautifully restored cycle café and community hub—this workshop invites you to create your own bicycle-themed print using the bold and beautiful linocut technique. It’s the perfect way to combine your love of cycling with creativity in a space that champions both.

In this step-by-step session, you’ll learn how to carve your unique design and print it by hand onto a selection of stunning Japanese and Western papers. Your experienced printmaker, Rachel Evans, will guide you every step of the way, making this workshop accessible and enjoyable for beginners and seasoned creatives alike.

By the end of the class, you’ll leave with your own bike-themed linocut print and the skills to continue printmaking at home!

When I am about to start a new creative art, I am always naturally quite nervous, but as soon as I met Rach and participated in her introduction to lino cutting, I felt at ease and thoroughly enjoyed the new challenges. This is all due to Rach's personality and experience. The three hours flew by because the session was so interesting and satisfying. I am looking forward to my next session in May -- cyanotype photography.
