“I can’t say I recommend this leather workshop. It is in fact an assembling / sewing workshop, which now reading the description back is somewhat hinted at, but I think the name and photos shown are somewhat misleading. The leather is pre-cut, the holes are pre-punched in, all that’s left to do is to sew the various parts together. The teacher sets up the sewing for you and not much explanation happens, so I wouldn’t call this a workshop. Ordering a kit at home would probably teach you more about leather working. There’s also a very big difference in how time consuming each piece is, meaning that I was done in an hour and my friend in 2.5. We were told mine would be faster but that is double the time which feels excessive! I would say that this is very expensive for what it is - I have done much more instructional workshops for the same price on Classbento. The teacher and staff are very nice and the space is lovely but I would recommend going for another one of their workshops which seemed more involved.”

“I'm a little disappointed with this class compared to others I've done on Class Bento before. It's essentially a self guided sewing session. Despite having pictures of the tools in the advertising, you don't get to cut the leather, it's all pre cut shapes. I started at 2pm and the man who was supposed to set me up, taught me to do the incorrect stitch which I had to bring up to another teacher as it didn't feel correct. There were 3 teachers but they were running between the different classes that they offer and I feel like no one got the amount of attention they needed. The only teacher who felt like she knew what to do with the leather workshop came after me and left after about 20 minutes. The stitch that they teach you is not the stitch shown on the advertisement, so instead of a fat and round persimmon, you leave with an angular one (mine on the left, theirs on the right). The teachers don't really teach you and if you ask for help, they just do it for you. I truly feel if I didn't have a baseline knowledge of crafting, I would have not been able to do this lesson. You also don't get the peanut key chain.”
