Paint and Chill - Pot Painting Experience - Manchester Reviews

This is a fun activity in Salford, Manchester

Ready to unwind? Visit our painting space for this pot painting class in Manchester, where you can come and decorate your own chosen pieces of eco-resin homeware! Choose two items from plant pots, trinket trays, trinket pots, and seasonal decorations.

You'll arrive in our painting space, much like a pottery cafe (but eco-resin rather than pottery!), where you will be seated in your group at a table. You're able to go and choose two pieces to paint in our selection of homewares, and your ticket includes all the paints and accessories you'll need to decorate them both. You'll have two hours to enjoy your painting session!

This is a little different than pottery painting, as your homewares are made from eco-resin and don't need to be fired after you've painted them; once the paint is dry, you can use them at home right away! (Please note, finished creations need to be treated with care as they're hand-painted).

Please note the following:

- This is NOT pottery, as such as not food-safe or waterproof by default. You'll be provided with a take-home gloss kit at our shop that makes the items water resistant. We recommend bringing your own bag where possible.

- You must arrive at the start of your session time; otherwise, you won't be given your full 2-hour slot.

- Everyone who enters the Paint & Chill space must have a ticket, we don't have space for anyone without a ticket to accompany you.

- Tickets can not be shared between two people, each person must have their own ticket.

- The minimum age is 16 years old. Please don't be offended if we ask to verify the age of teenagers, our insurance requires us to make sure everyone is the right age to have a good crafty time!

- You will be sat within your booking group, so please be aware if you book alone, you may be seated alone if no other guests have booked onto your time slot.

- You can also purchase additional homewares on the day if you'd like to paint more than two.

- While you're with us, you're able to order hot drinks (at an extra charge) from the neighbouring coffee shop. We don't allow you to bring any food in that hasn't been purchased from the coffee shop.

- You'll have gloves at your disposal to prevent any mess.

- You can leave your piece with us to dry (you have up to 2 weeks to collect) or you can take it home immediately!

- We are a shop open to the public. There may be other painting groups within your time slot or other workshops happening simultaneously in the space, so you won’t have the space to yourself, but you’ll have your table to enjoy your experience! If you book a private class, there still may be other groups in the space, however you will be seated in your own table.

Very chilled atmosphere, loved the selection of items to paint and great selection of paints to use. Staff were very helpful and very considerate as it was a bit cold in the building and put on some complimentary tea which was lovely. Great selection of background music!

Selection of things to paint was a little poor, with most things slightly chipped. You get a tiny pallet to mix your paints and the brushes aren’t the best. The ‘teacher’ was nice but she didn’t teach anything and kinda just went round here and there saying aww that looks cute (it didn’t we struggled). I asked her to bring me more paint as it was hard to lift up the pallet with the brushes on she said “it’s not ready a table service”. No hand washing facilities, but there are bathrooms in the shopping centre you can use that are close by which we weren’t made aware of till the end. I guess it’s a fun experience, but I’ve been to better ones.
