This NEW friendly, 1-day woodworking class in London covers the fundamentals to get you started in cutting, shaping, and joining.
An experienced tutor will spend 6 hours teaching you how to:
- Work safely with very sharp tools
- Use chisels, saws, knives, tape measures, and squares correctly
- Measure, mark, and cut with a fraction of a millimetre accuracy
- Understand the basic structure of wood
- Make time-honoured joints such as halvings, mortice & tenons, and dovetails
- Fix your joints together with glue and clamps
We’ll also talk tool sharpening, recommend tools to buy, and how to progress your learning if you’re keen for more.
