*Update January 2025 - New evening time option now added! If you book into two consectuive weeks, you can try a small slumped fused glass piece as one of your projects.*
Discover the captivating art of glass fusing in this hands-on workshop designed for beginners. Learn the essential techniques of cutting, layering, and fusing glass to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces. Guided by Una Galbraith, you’ll explore the properties of glass, experiment with colour and texture, learn how to cut glass, and design two or three small projects, such as jewellery, drink stirrers, bookmarks, hanging decorations, tiles, or magnets. Or, if you're most interested in one thing - like jewellery - you can focus on that.
With all materials and tools provided, this workshop offers a relaxed and creative environment to ignite your artistic side. Perfect for anyone curious about glass art, this introduction promises a fun and inspiring experience! It’s a relaxed atmosphere where not only will you develop your glass fusing skills, but you’ll also have an enjoyable day out.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners, but more experienced fusers are welcome too.
Your pieces will need to be fired in the kiln, and you can collect them a few days later, or we can post them out to you.
This is also a great workshop for team building and private parties – if you’d like to book for a private event, contact Rhona by email.
