If you've been looking for a way to improve your painting skills and want to try a subject with a difference, come along to this watercolour class in Farringdon and learn to paint some delectable desserts!
This session focuses on observational drawing of actual desserts, teaching the skills needed to translate three-dimensional objects into two-dimensional artwork, enabling you to apply these skills in real-life settings. Cakes and desserts will be provided for still-life drawing. The course covers fundamental drawing techniques such as perspective, light and shadow, colour combinations, along with more advanced watercolour techniques to further your artistic journey.
In addition to fundamental skills, we will explore how to capture the details and textures of desserts through observation, making your artwork more vibrant and expressive. Each participant will complete at least two projects: a personalised watercolour bookmark and a detailed observational painting of a dessert, both of which you can take home.
This workshop not only teaches you watercolour techniques but also offers the joy of creation, providing an opportunity to interact with other art enthusiasts and learn together.
All material supplied, including the highest-grade watercolour paper, brushes, and watercolour pigment.
