What a fantastic afternoon well spent with the lovely Aurielle. We were taught how to centre our clay on the wheel, how it is important to keep the clay and your hands wet throughout the process, and we then made small tapas plates/dishes and small bowls. For the second piece we had the choice of bowls or tumbler type pieces (mugs without a handle), we both chose bowls to go with our plates. Although our booking suggests 3 pieces, I suppose it all depends on the amount of time it takes to learn how to handle the clay and wheel, along with attempts at actually throwing the clay too. However, it was a great afternoon, and I look forward to doing it again sometime in the near future.

We loved our first time on a pottery wheel and Aurelie was an excellent (and very patient) teacher! We can’t wait to pick up each of our two pieces in a few weeks!

I’ve wanted to do this for about 45 years and I loved this experience! Aurelia was a lovely and encouraging teacher and the small group setting was perfect to enable a great level of support. I’d really recommend having a go at this.

A very enjoyable class. very knowledgeable and patient teacher. Liked the fact that there were only 3 participants, so there was lots of 1 to 1 help. I would recommend to others.

Thoroughly enjoyed the lesson and tuition by Aura was excellent. I was made very welcome and worked in a relaxed atmosphere. Having only 3 people in the class was also a bonus. Made a plate and bowl in the 2 hours.
