Learn the techniques you need to create your own spray-painted artworks at the MAKERS stencil and spray painting workshop in Milton Keynes!

In this 2-hour workshop, you'll learn from an expert tutor with 15 years' experience delivering stencil-making workshops. You'll design and cut your own stencils and then learn the required spray painting techniques to turn them into original artworks.
You'll practice and explore your stencil painting on the studio walls and then create a final piece on a canvas to take home with you on the day.

All abilities are welcome! Whether you are a complete beginner wanting to try a new and fun art-making technique, or if you're an experienced art maker looking to add a new dimension to your practice, the MAKERS workshop is for you!

“We had an amazing time at the two-hour spray painting workshop with Josh and Lisa. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming and creatively energising. We were both complete beginners, but never once felt awkward asking questions—Josh and Lisa were friendly, knowledgeable, and really proactive in offering support and guidance throughout. One of the best parts was how confident they helped us feel. I genuinely didn’t think I could create anything like what I ended up taking home. Even while cutting out my stencil, I doubted it would work—but with their help and explanations, it turned into something I’m proud of. The opportunity to pluck an idea out of nowhere and see it grow into a final, refined piece of art was incredibly fulfilling. The session was really well structured: the practice time on painted boards was essential to understanding how the paints, stencils and layering worked. It made such a difference when it came to creating our final pieces. The range of pre-made plastic stencils added great texture and detail, and the variety of paint colours available meant we could really personalise what we made. The group had a lovely mix of people, and the whole environment felt warm and inclusive. We both came away creatively nourished, proud of what we’d made, and honestly a bit in awe of how Josh and Lisa managed to teach so much in such a short time without it ever feeling rushed or pressured. Highly recommended for anyone curious about trying something new—whether you’re already creative or think you haven’t got an artistic bone in your body.”

“This was a great workshop! Josh really knows his stuff and was great at keeping everything fun and entertaining while also giving guidance when needed. Great activity to do with friends, family or as a couple. Something fun and different to do on a weekend, and we got to take home our very own piece of artwork. 10/10 will definitely be booking again”
