This is a fun activity in Pontefract, Leeds

Why not try a pottery wheel class for a two-hour taster into this calming and fun hobby. It's the perfect opportunity to unwind, learn something new, and make something beautiful.

Your talented pottery experts will guide you every step of the way through some pottery making techniques on the wheel. You will be making one pot with all the clay, tools and advice you could need in our pottery studio.

You will get to choose between making a bowl, a vase or a plant pot. Once your creation is all ready, you can even paint your own pottery to really make it a unique item. We will glaze and fire it for you so it is food safe and looking its best. You will then be able to arrange to pick it up within around 10 days.

Just one hour of pottery has proven to reduce stress and help people feel more relaxed. If you are in need of some mindful hobbies then this class is perfect. Or, if you know a friend that needs a way to unwind, then give them a pottery class as a unique gift experience.

PLEASE NOTE: You will receive an email direct from Rachel Byass Ceramics when you book to confirm your booking and give you further information however if you do not receive this please contact us to check that your booking has been received.

The class was amazing and the teacher was so patient with us! She explained things in really good detail which I really loved allowing us to create something really good for a first try! We made a vase and a bowl. Purchasing and redeeming the gift card was very straightforward and easy to understand instructions

Booked the experience for my husband’s birthday because he was interested in getting a bit of experience in using the pottery wheel. This was exactly what he wanted and we loved it to pieces! Rachel is an amazing teacher, friendly, very patient, supportive and passionate. She guided us with clear instructions and we both managed to create and decorate two pieces that we absolutely love. Definitely recommend this experience for beginners especially, but also if you have a little bit of experience yourself. I think Rachel is very competent and knows how to guide you to bring out the best in your skills. Will definitely come back for other workshops because they all sound interesting.

Had a lovey couple of hours, found the pottery spinning quite therapeutic actually, which I didn’t expect! Was very pleased with our creations and looking forward to collecting them in a couple of weeks. Only tip would be, perhaps having the radio on for some background noise might have been nice.
