This is a fun activity in Brighton and Hove, Brighton

Come and experience a warm welcome in my studio where you'll be greeted with a cup of tea or coffee, regularly provided throughout the session. At which point I will introduce myself as well as give you a brief overview of my studio and the tools you'll be using during the session.

I will then demonstrate how to use the wheel and show you the basic techniques you'll need to create your very own bowl. After the demonstration, it's your turn! With Bex's guidance, you'll take turns using the wheel to create your own unique bowl. For those more confident and adventurous, you can go on to create your very own mug to go with it.

When you're finished, I will glaze and fire your bowl alongside your other wonderful creations, and your finished piece will be ready for collection in 4-6 weeks. If you prefer, you can have it posted to you for a small additional fee payable on the day.

This workshop offers a relaxed and supportive environment to explore pottery!

Children between the ages of 14-18yrs old are also welcome to the studio to take part in their very own session and have found enjoyment from the wonders of clay! However please be aware that if you are booking a Throwing Workshop on behalf of a child under the age of 18 yrs, an adult is required to accompany the child for the duration of the session.

I bought this class for my son’s Xmas gift so we could have a mum/son day together and the pottery class was so so good. Bex is such a lovely lady and a very good teacher, nothing is too much and Bex is always happy to answer any questions and helps with all the lovely pieces you make (if you need it) me and my son managed to make 5 pieces (3 bowls and 2 cups) Bex never made us feel rushed and was very encouraging to get as much out of our time possible. This for us was 5* as we couldn’t fault anything. I really recommend booking a class as you won’t be disappointed.

A fantastic experience! Bex is so friendly and gave lots of hands-on instruction. My daughter and I had a potters wheel each, and both made 5-6 pieces. We are hooked!

Lovely morning spent with Bex & Will learning how to throw! Super relaxed environment, Bex was on hand to help when things went wrong, but equally gave you space to try! Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about pottery and using the wheel. I’ll be back!
