This is a fun activity in Blackfriars, London
Photographer and teacher Catriona Grey will guide you as you walk with your camera, taking photographs on the Thames foreshore. If you have questions about getting the perfect exposure, what all those metering settings mean, or how to get that great angle, Catriona will be there to help.
Catriona is from London and might have a few facts about the area to share along the way.
For Catriona, photography is a slow and mindful act of looking, observing, slowing down. It's not about snapping away. So join her, and other keen photography participants, to enjoy your surroundings and share inspiration with each other.
This is designed to be for any level, with any camera, so don't be shy! If you're a beginner, that's totally fine.
We will be walking on paths, as well as down on the actual shoreline, so wear clothes and shoes you don't mind getting dirty.
If you want to pick anything up from the shore (this is called mudlarking) you do so at your own free will, this is not part of the walk. However, Catriona is also a keen mudlarker and will enjoy your finds with you and help you to photograph them.
