This is a fun activity in Wood Green, London
Ready to try cable knitting but not sure where to start? In this fun and confidence-boosting workshop, you’ll learn to knit cables by making an adorable owl – complete with twisty feathers and button eyes.
You’ll learn how to:
- Read a simple cable chart
- Use a cable needle (and cable without one!)
- Work left- and right-leaning twists
- Understand how cables create texture and structure
This class is perfect for knitters who are comfortable with knit and purl stitches and want to take the next step in their skills. The owl is small and satisfying – ideal for building confidence before tackling larger cable projects like hats, scarves or jumpers.
All materials are provided, and you’ll leave with your finished or nearly-finished owl, printed instructions, and a big boost of cable confidence.
We keep our workshops small, for 1–8 people. You can “Book into a public class” on a listed date, or click “Request a class” and tell us when you’d like to meet.
