This is a fun activity in Heathcote, Coventry

Join us for a delightful workshop, where you will learn to make delicious bao buns, dumplings and a mouth-watering wonton soup from scratch.

In this hands-on class, you will discover the secrets of making fluffy bao buns and flavourful wonton soup broth and crafting and filling each bite-sized delight.

Don't worry if you're new to Chinese cuisine, Anne Marie will guide you through every step with patience and encouragement. You'll work with fresh and authentic ingredients, learning techniques that will inspire and empower you to replicate these dishes at home for friends and family.

In this session, you will make:

- Bao bun dough and chicken filling with homemade Chinese sauce

- Wonton/Dumpling dough

- Wonton fillings* - pork and cabbage or vegetable

(*chicken can be requested instead of pork)

- Chicken broth from scratch (vegetable broth can be requested)

At the end of the workshop, you'll have a collection of handmade bao buns, tasty dumplings and a comforting bowl of wonton soup to enjoy alongside other participants. Will any make it home?!

Is the date not suitable? Why not book this session as a private lesson with friends or family. I can accommodate up to 6 at my home or 12 in a local venue in Warwick.

I booked this class hoping to learn a couple of recipes, but I what surprised me was how much more I learned. From the moment we arrived, everything was thoughtfully set up. The ingredients were prepped, the kitchen was spotless, and the atmosphere had that great balance between professional and homely. No standing around awkwardly, no rushing either. Very friendly tution from a fantastic host. What really stood out was the teaching. Instead of just following instructions, we were taught why things work — how to vary recipes later, how to rescue things or adjust when too dry/too wet etc. It felt less like a class and more like being let in on a set of professional secrets. (There's a spring onion trick that's transformed my ramen at home!) By the end, we’d cooked a full on feast that I’d previously have assumed was well beyond my reach. And it wasn’t just edible — it was genuinely excellent. I’ve already recreated parts of it at home, (successfully!) which surprised me even more, as I'd worried it might not stick when I got back to my real-world home kitchen. If you’re on the fence: this isn’t just a fun event, it’s a step-change in how confident your can be with 3-4 different dishes. I’d recommend it to complete beginners (like me) and confident home cooks alike. I’ll definitely do it again, and I'm already seeing what else is on offer!

This was an excellent class with a good variety of dishes to make. We made wonton soup broth and the wontons to go into it. Bao buns and dumplings. We cooked together but each had a role. Anne Marie adapted to the ability of the 3 of us, (all reasonably competent) but I still learnt some new knife skills! Anne Marie made sure we knew how we could adapt the ingredients to what was in the fridge at home. A very valuable skill! Thank you Anne Marie. 5 star.
