Ever wanted to learn to knit? Start with something cosy and satisfying - your very own handmade beanie!
We’ll be using 12mm needles and starting off with thick, stretchy yarn, making it easy to get the hang of things. You can then progress to a ball of Wool and the Gang Crazy Sexy wool as you start on your beanie.
The yarn, needles and yarn needle are yours to keep! Plus, you'll receive a set of beginner-friendly instructions with space for notes, and extra easy-to-follow patterns for hand mittens and slippers - so you can keep knitting even after the workshop!
Need extra help? Every second Wednesday we have a textiles social, a session where you can come to be reminded of stitches and learn whilst you have a good chat.
Tea, coffee, and biscuits are included - because knitting is always better with a cuppa!
We’re also flexible with timings – if the listed slots don’t quite work for you, please don’t be shy about asking for another date or time. Just let us know whether you’d like a private booking, or if you’d prefer us to open up a new time slot for others to join too.

It's just 1 stop from London Bridge on national rail, or a 5 minute walk from New Cross on the Overground.
Carriage way is a ramp that starts on Deptford High Street next to Toad Bakery, or SALT bar and slopes up to platform 1 at Deptford Station. Access it from one of the ends (on platform 1, you'll find it behind the lifts. If you find yourself next to SALT, you'll see stairs up to a bridge.. head up the stairs and over the bridge).
