Come and join us for a relaxing afternoon of creativity at our Calligraphy, Watercolour Florals & Sustainable Flower Arranging Workshop, set in the beautiful heritage site of Calverley Old Hall, as we welcome in spring with all things floral.
This special event combines two creative workshops in one inspiring afternoon — a 2-hour Calligraphy & Watercolour session followed directly by a 1-hour Sustainable Flower Arranging workshop, all in the same beautiful space, with the mini community garden to enjoy.
PART 1: Calligraphy & Watercolour Florals (1:30–3:30pm) with @gracejoannadesigns
Enjoy getting out and trying something new as you slow down and learn the art of watercolour and beautiful hand-lettering in a fun, friendly environment learning simple Calligraphy Skills and Watercolour Florals.
During this hands-on workshop, you'll discover the joy of watercolour and brush pen calligraphy while creating stunning designs.
Grace will guide you through various techniques, offering tips and inspiration to help you learn how to create simple watercolour elements and florals and hand-letter your favourite quote to design a beautiful A5 print or postcard.
Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, this workshop is suitable for all skill levels. All materials will be provided—just bring your enthusiasm and creativity!

PART 2: Sustainable Flower Arranging (3:30–4:30pm) with local florist @flowersbyfui1
I’m delighted to invite you to a hands-on floristry workshop where I’ll guide you step by step in creating a foam-free floral arrangement in a glass ramekin to take away, using sustainable techniques and gorgeous seasonal blooms.
During the session, you’ll learn how to:
Create a secure foam-free base using sustainable mechanics
Work with shape, balance, and natural movement
Condition and confidently place stems
Design and complete your own arrangement to take home
All materials and flowers are provided. Secateurs will be available to use, but if you’d like to bring your own, you’re very welcome to. Flowers may vary from those in photos.
