Last month I enjoyed attending a cake designing workshop. It was hard dealing with the layers of buttercream. Especially when pouring pipeline designs onto the cake. Here is the cake I made on Valentine's Day.

Everything was good except the cold so was extremely hard to do anything with frosting as it sets.

Absolutely awful service, and would highly not recommend. A) They ran out of cake… at a bento cake class… They ran out of cake to give to everyone, so my cake resembled a crumpet / store bought Holborn mini pancake over an actual cake. The baker used an excuse of having left the cakes in south london - for £40+ for the service, insufficient planning isn’t a good enough excuse to run a cake decorating class and be missing the core ingredient. About 40% of the attendees has cakes that were no taller than 1 inch, and no wider than 4 inches. And Inrecongise it’s a bento cake, but a bento cake shouldn’t still be at least tall enough to decorate. After two layers of icing, my cake started to resemble a flat surface with a ramp (see photos) B) Customer Service; Not only were the staff not in property attire, i feel like they had dressed as if they rolled out of bed, which, for our booking, which was to celebrate my friends birthday, did not suit the occasion. C) Hygiene First and foremost, why are there cake stands / shelf’s in the toilet ? D) It’s one thing to pay £40 for a service to decorate cake and celebrate, it’s another thing to host an event and have to hush the attendees because you had noise complaints. As customers, either this shouldn’t be their responsibility, OR you disclaim this before purchase, OR you price your tickets in a way that accommodates it clearly cannot be a celebration / loud event, and that everyone must keep it down. Pros: - The cake (albeit small) was nice and spongey, so i’ll give the company starts where it’s due. Although it would have been nice to have a cake that lasted more than 4 bites and wasn’t so small that the 2 hours of icing doesn’t cause your finished product to be 70% icing 30% cake.

My teacher was excellent. I decorated a cake and it was very beautiful. I liked everything? The other participants were very friendly and a good atmosphere was very nice.

I had such a wonderful time at the bento cake workshop! The instructor was so engaging and made sure everyone felt included and involved throughout the session. She explained everything clearly, kept the atmosphere fun and relaxed, and was very considerate of everyone’s pace and comfort. It was not only a creative and enjoyable experience, but also a warm and welcoming one. I’d highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking to try something new and have a great time doing it!
