This is a fun activity in Farringdon, London

Fancy capturing the heart of London’s streets, turning everyday moments into lasting images? In this hands-on street photography workshop, you’ll learn how to see the city with a photographer's eye, taking home a collection of your own street photographs. Don’t worry if you’re new to photography; this is a welcoming space to learn and grow.

We’ll start by visiting carefully chosen locations, perfect for capturing those fine art street photos, before moving on to the more spontaneous, close-up shots that truly define street photography. I’ll share my approach, showing you how to embrace the unpredictable nature of street scenes and find beauty in the ordinary. You'll learn how to get the most compelling shots, experiment with angles, and refine your photography technique.

After our time exploring the city, we’ll gather for a relaxed group review over coffee, where you can share your photos and receive constructive feedback. You'll work with your camera, understanding how to use it to capture the unique energy of London. This activity will give you a chance to learn how to see the world in a new light.

I had an excellent afternoon with Ian taking photos all over London - from the Barbican and Bank to Tate Modern and Oxford Street. Ian was flexible and happy to focus on the things that interested me, both in terms of technical questions and photographic style. He knew lots of fascinating spots for capturing great shots and offered helpful tips on what to look for when taking street photos. Above all, Ian is a great guy and fun to hang out with. I’d highly recommend spending an afternoon shooting photos with him in London.
