This is a fun activity in Forest Hill, London

Celebrate Pride Month with a fun and relaxed evening of hand embroidery – bring a drink and spend a few hours stitching something to wear with pride, alongside other creative queers and allies.

You’ll learn a selection of beginner-friendly stitches and then customise a patch or your own piece of clothing like a denim jacket or tote bag. This is a great chance to add a handmade detail to your Pride outfit or simply enjoy some slow, creative making.

You can choose from a range of Pride-themed templates or get guidance to design your own piece. You’ll also take home your needle and thread so you can keep stitching after the session. Whether you’re totally new to embroidery or already love it, you’re very welcome here.

- BYOB (glasses provided)
- All materials included (hoop, threads, fabric, needle, stick and stitch transfers)
- Optional: bring your own item to embroider
- Guided demos and help throughout
- LGBTQ+ inclusive space, open to all skill levels

It was a delightful evening After a warm welcoming our class started by doing through the basics before moving onto a range of embroidery stitches. We then switched to making some embroidery (either patches or bring your own material) and then was given the supplies to finish off our craft at home. It was a lovely chill class, with a knowledgeable and friendly teacher in a wonderful venue. Can't wait to go to some of the other events!

I absolutely loved this class! Katie is a great teacher - relaxed, knowledgeable, supportive, and an absolute vibe. She created a really fun atmosphere and the time flew by. And now I can ACTUALLY EMBROIDER! Thank you Katie, for teaching me a skill I never thought I’d master. Plus for being so generous in letting me take home a hoop and floss and some transfers. I’ll definitely be coming to more classes.
