Join this introductory whittling workshop designed for a child and accompanying adult pair, held at "The Clearing" in Lesnes Abbey Woods. Together, you will learn how to safely start practising whittling wood using special carving knives under expert guidance, as well as exploring pattern and decoration using pyrography.
This practical activity focuses on building safe habits. You'll receive plenty of advice so you can confidently continue enjoying this hobby together at home, using the correct tools and techniques.
Important Workshop Details:
- One ticket admits one child and one accompanying adult.
- Each child must be actively supervised by their accompanying adult for the entire duration of the workshop. The adult will work alongside the child.
- The session takes place at "The Clearing, " a purpose-built outdoor creative space nestled within Lesnes Abbey Woods.
- Boots or sturdy, closed-toe footwear are essential for all participants. Open-toed shoes are not permitted.
- Dress appropriately for the outdoor setting and weather conditions.
- The workshop will go ahead in most weather conditions (a central fire and large parachute canopy provide warmth and shelter), except in cases of high winds or lightning.
- All necessary protective equipment is supplied.
