This is a fun activity in Glasgow

Discover how to hand-build your own ceramic flower vase in this special Mother's Day workshop led by Studio Yōki. Over three hours, you'll be guided through the enjoyable process of creating a unique vessel from clay.

In this hands-on activity, Studio Yōki will demonstrate essential techniques and provide support as you learn:

- Getting comfortable with clay properties and preparation.
- Using pinching and coiling techniques to build your vase's form.
- Methods for securely joining clay sections and achieving a smooth surface.
- Tips for shaping and refining your unique vase design.

This workshop is perfectly suited for individuals new to ceramics who want to learn the basics. However, those with previous clay experience looking to practise their hand-building skills are also very welcome. All clay, tools, and necessary equipment for the activity are provided.

After the workshop, Studio Yōki will handle the finishing touches for you – firing your creation and applying their signature shimmer white glaze. You'll then be able to collect your beautiful, completed vase, a rewarding memento of your creative session (ready to collect in 6-8 weeks).

Took my mum for a flower vase building class, Emma was a lovely instructor, very calm and patient and I've never heard my mum sit for so long and say she enjoyed anything!
