Upon arrival to the booking the space was definitely not ready for us and was very delayed, we waited about 45/50 minutes until we started so it overall affected our itinerary for the day and felt quite rushed. It would have been better for each station to have been prepared prior to our arrival. Although the host did say there were issues with traffic, ingredients and even spoons were still arriving well in to our booking time. Our chef Vicky was super personable and made the experience fun, so really appreciate having her there! She’s clearly very talented and made some beautiful example dim sum. The veggie ones were delicious! The first cocktail was lovely but unfortunately the second was far too strong for most of our groups palate so we only had about 3 dumplings and one cocktail each, in terms of value for money we left fairly disappointed. We were then swiftly moved to a corner at the back of the venue before we had finished our drink which was much too small for our booking, had everything run to time I think we would have had ample time to finish the experience. When we left our coats had all been moved and mixed in with people using the studio downstairs so was a bit of a clunky experience. Overall parts were really fun and positive but wouldn’t book it again for the price.

I couldn’t recommend this more highly as a date activity - the environment is incredibly unique and intimate Japanese themed recording studio inspire by David Bowie. You learn to make 2 incredible cocktails also inspired by David Bowie and 2 types of dim sum. Amazing night! Hosts for both cocktails and dim sum were brilliant. 5 stars

Booked this class as a birthday gift for my nest friend and we had an amazing time! The whole team is so friendly and welcoming - they went out of their way to accommodate the class even though we were the only two on the booking, which was greatly appreciated. We had two very skilled, knowledgeable instructors who have us a great workshop experience while keeping things fun, and both the cocktails and dim sum were delicious! Can't thank the whole team enough for a wonderful evening.

Highly recommend the dim sum and cocktail masterclass at The Thin White Duke. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the incredibly friendly and attentive staff, who truly went above and beyond to ensure we felt comfortable and relaxed. The cocktail mixology portion of the experience was superb: an excellent introduction for beginners, yet sophisticated enough to appeal to those with a bit more experience. The dim sum cooking was equally fantastic! With clear instructions, we all created delicious dishes easily (and with a touch of humorous humility). The charming private room next to the recording studio added a unique touch to the experience. The experience was a vibrant blend of skill-building and camaraderie;) If you happen to be in Soho with a group of friends and are looking to learn something new in a laid-back setting, this masterclass is absolutely worth checking out!
