This is a fun activity in Twickenham, London
Please note the different venue addresses for my Spring Term Workshops:
Sunday 8th February and Sunday 12th April are at the Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre, Walton and are £60 for 3 hours which includes all materials.
Sunday 22nd March and Sunday 19th April will be at The Courtyard, Ferry Point, Ferry Lane, Shepperton, TW17 9LQ and is £70 for up to 4 hours. This is so that you are able to seal your piece of furniture. Early bird prices also available.
Come and learn how to give a new lease of life to an old piece of furniture at this fun and creative painting workshop. This hands-on activity is perfect for anyone aged sixteen and over who wants to learn a new, long-lasting skill.
In this workshop, I will teach you how to prepare your item for painting. You'll learn the correct way to clean and sand your furniture, and I’ll explain what type of paint to use and why. I use Frenchic Paint, who, in my opinion, are the market leaders. I will show you both brush and roller techniques, and you will be able to paint your piece of furniture ready to take home by the end of the session. You will also learn how to seal and care for your painted furniture once you get it home.
Please bring your own small piece of furniture, such as a wooden chair, an occasional table, a small stool, or a wooden box. While you can bring a bedside table or a chest of drawers, please be aware you may not finish it in time. If you don't have a piece of furniture, please let me know, as I can source one for you for a small additional cost.
The class will be a fun and creative opportunity to learn, with a maximum of seven participants and plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits available. You'll go home with your beautifully updated piece of furniture and a wonderful sense of accomplishment in your new skills.
Locations include Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre Walton and at Vintage Chic Reloved, Ferry Lane, Shepperton, TW17.
