This is a fun activity in Earlsfield, London
Join a small-group abstract painting workshop in London, designed for beginners and anyone curious about a more intuitive way of painting. Using acrylics, you’ll explore expressive techniques in a calm, supportive studio environment.
With a maximum of six participants, each session is personal and relaxed, giving you the space to experiment, take risks, and reconnect with your creativity.
**About this workshop**
This workshop focuses on expression, intuition, and process rather than perfection or realistic outcomes. It is an invitation to step away from overthinking and explore painting in a more open, instinctive way.
No prior experience or drawing skills are needed.
Many people join these sessions to try something new, return to creativity after a break, or simply spend a few hours doing something hands-on and absorbing.
**What to Expect**
We begin with loose, expressive exercises on paper to warm up and quiet the inner critic.
You’ll then move on to painting with acrylics on canvas, exploring:
- Colour and colour relationships
- Mark-making and gesture
- Layering techniques
- Simple composition principles
The session is process-led rather than technical, with gentle, personalised guidance throughout. You’ll be encouraged to experiment and find your own way of working.
**Who this workshop is for**
- Complete beginners (no experience needed)
- Anyone feeling stuck creatively
- People looking for a relaxed, non-judgemental environment
- Those curious about abstract or intuitive painting
- Artists with some experience who want to deepen their practice and explore new approaches
Perfect to book with a friend or come and meet like-minded people.
**Good to know**
- Spaces are limited to four participants to keep the experience personal and supportive, and sessions tend to fill up quickly.
- Sessions run with a minimum of two participants. If a session does not reach this, I will be in touch to offer an alternative date or a full refund.
