Learn the fundamentals of rug making in this fun and friendly Mini Rug Workshop. This three-hour session is a perfect introduction to the craft, where you will create your very own 35cm x 40cm personalised piece.
This activity is ideal for beginners, and your instructors will guide you through the entire process from start to finish. Due to the shorter timeframe, it's best to keep your design simple, which helps ensure you'll have a finished rug by the end of the class. Whether you want to create a quirky, free-style design or a simple, colourful pattern, the choice is all yours!
In this introductory workshop, you will learn how to:
- Use a cut-pile electric tufting gun
- Choose from a range of suitable colours for your design
- Start and finish your tufting project with confidence
All the materials you need are provided for you. You'll leave with a wonderful new hands-on skill and the satisfaction of having created a complete mini rug to take home and admire.
Important Notes:
- Check your booking date and time carefully before payment.
- To attend this class, you need to be at least 10 years old. If you’re under 18, please come with a guardian (2 people can work on one rug).
- Please email us your desired design at least 24 hours before class.
- After tufting, we’ll need approximately 10 days to complete trimming, shaving, and other finishing touches. This post-processing service is included in your class fee, so there’s no additional charge.
- Once you’ve finished tufting, you’re free to go — we’ll notify you by email when your piece is ready. You can choose to pick it up in person or have it posted to your address (£10 per parcel, one parcel could include multiple pieces if it is sent to the same address).
