This is a fun activity in Stoke Newington, London

In this workshop, you will learn the fascinating art of glass blowing from our brilliant artisans and make your very own handblown glass pieces: we offer three class options making either a bauble & a paperweight, a vessel & a paperweight or a bowl & a paperweight. This hands-on activity is a wonderful opportunity to be skilfully guided through the process of shaping and blowing exquisite glass pieces.

You will start by choosing from a variety of beautiful glass colours. Then, you'll learn how to use traditional tools such as the punty, blowing iron, jacks, glass tweezers, and marver to craft a unique paperweight and a bauble, small vessel or bowl. The workshops are designed to be a practical experience, ensuring everyone gets to work with molten glass with expert support and guidance by their side.

Workshop Options:
- Bauble & Paperweight Making
- Vessel & Paperweight Making
- Bowl & Paperweight Making

This is an amazing chance to create something truly special from scratch. You’ll finish the session with a newfound appreciation for this ancient craft and two stunning, self-made glass pieces to take home and admire (after they have cooled off in the kiln!).

Participants must be 18 or older to attend this workshop.

My dad and I had such a brilliant afternoon. Emily, Shannon and Dexter couldn’t have been more welcoming and their knowledge and skills were incredible. They went above and beyond to accommodate me and my disability, and made the whole afternoon stress free and enjoyable. We had so much fun and cannot wait to receive our items in the post! Couldn’t recommend this course more highly, such a cool skill to learn, in a safe, cosy and welcoming environment.

Had an amazing time at the Molten1090 glassblowing workshop. The instructors leading the class were patient and considered in their explanations, and helped us to find our own style in our finished pieces. The welcome was warm and the workshop is considered so that we were all guided through the process while we were working, but engaged when we were waiting. The booking process was smooth and I was able to use two vouchers against my booking, which was great.

The guys were amazing, so lovely and knowledgeable. There was the right level of teaching and assisting with the making of your piece. The space is also very cute, with the supply of blankets if it gets cold. I also purchased a couple of stunning products at the end with the 15% discount they gave me. Lastly, aside from the class being well run, I loved the sustainability concept of the store and would really endorse these artists going forward by buying even more items in the future

Cheerful and careful teachers. Six in the group, and we all got to make a paperweight, coloured to our choice and with internal bubbles, and a glass ball for a Christmas tree, also coloured to our choice. Andy pushed with a glass of wine. I’d highly rate this for an instructive and fun afternoon.

The team were ace! So patient and they clearly really enjoy their work. The colours available were gorgeous. There were quite a few of us in the session, so the wait for each of us to get to do the glassblowing felt a little long but it was interesting getting to see what everyone made.
