Join me for this full-day macramé class in Folkestone and discover the therapeutic art of knotting as you create a stunning wall hanging.
In this hands-on workshop, we will cover a wide range of knots and I will teach you how to make your own custom piece using a choice of recycled cord. You will learn the importance of tension swatches and how to plan out your design effectively.
If you are new to this craft, don't worry. I will guide you through each step, making sure you feel supported and confident as you learn. All materials and refreshments are provided, so you can simply turn up and get creative.
**During the session, you will:**
- Explore knots including a larks head, square knot, spiral knot and more
- Work out how to create tension swatches and plan out your design
- Create a finished piece (depending on the complexity of the design, this may be completed at home after the workshop but the course will enable you to do so)
By the end of the day, you will have all the skills needed to complete your masterpiece and the know-how to create more beautiful knotted items for your home or as gifts.
