Our pottery studio hosts small groups of up to 4 participants, wheel-throwing classes that are perfect for beginners and those curious about wheel throwing. This 2.5-hour taster class introduces you to the basics of working on the pottery wheel, guided by an experienced instructor.
What You’ll Learn
You’ll learn fundamental techniques like wedging, centring, pulling, and shaping clay to create simple pottery, such as cylinders, bowls, or plates.
What’s Included in the Class
- One wheel per student
- Enough clay for you to learn and practise at your own pace
- The price includes clays, single-colour paint, glaze, and firing service
- 2 pieces for you to take home (glazed and fired)
Class Structure
- Kicks off with a 20-minute introduction
- Start your journey on wheels
- Your instructor will guide you through the process of creating a unique piece tailored specifically for you.
Your finished pieces will be ready for collection about 4 weeks after the course ends, but sometimes it may take a little longer. We’ll email you when your work is ready. Please collect your pieces within 4 weeks of receiving the email, due to limited shelf space.
