This is a fun activity in Greenwich, London
Spend a full day immersed in the craft of pottery at this comprehensive wheel-throwing workshop, which is perfect for complete beginners and those looking to improve their skills alike.
This engaging all-day activity is designed to give you plenty of time at the wheel. If you're new to pottery, you will learn all the fundamental skills, including how to centre clay, pull up walls to form a pot, and trim your pieces. You'll also learn how to attach handles. For those with previous experience, this workshop is a great opportunity to work on refining your technique and developing more advanced skills with guidance from your teacher.
The day is structured to be both productive and relaxing, beginning at 11 am and finishing at 5 pm, with a break for lunch at 1 pm and a tea and coffee break around 3 pm.
By the end of the session, you can choose your favourite four pots to keep. These will be glazed on your behalf and fired, ready for you to collect at a later date. Alternatively, you can book another session to return and glaze your own work after its first firing. If you wish to keep any extra pots, there is a charge of £5 per piece.
This is a fantastic opportunity to dedicate a full day to learning a new skill in a supportive environment, leaving you with a collection of your very own handmade ceramics.
