In this relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll create your own ring design using jewellers’ wax -- a soft, sculptable material used by many jewellers today. No experience is needed, and everything you need is included.
Whether you’re just curious, planning a fun day out with a friend, or gifting an experience in Brighton to someone creative, this class is a great way to unwind and walk away with something completely personal.
What to expect
- You’ll be welcomed into our light-filled Brighton studio, where our tutor will introduce you to the tools, materials, and process.
- Then you'll measure and size your ring, and begin shaping and carving your design in wax using hand tools and heat.
- Add textures or personal marks to make it your own!
- Learn from our expert teachers how your wax model will be transformed into a silver ring.
- Don't worry -- we'll keep you refreshed with tea, coffee and snacks throughout the class.
- At the end, your wax ring will be sent off to a professional casting company to be turned into solid sterling silver -- all included in the price.
We’ll take care of everything, and your finished ring will be ready for collection (or posted to a UK address) within three weeks of your class. You'll walk away from this jewellery class in Brighton with new skills, knowledge about wax casting and a beautiful handmade ring unique to you.
