“Interesting recipes, nice setting! Few issues with the electric hobs not working which had apparently happened before. Could have been more interactive with more teaching about dishes, history, and chances to have a proper go. Overall nice evening”

“Sadly we were very disappointed. We went to learn how to cook the advertised recipes, but most of the ingredients were already prepared so there was very little actual cooking. None of the ingredients, spices etc were explained, we asked a few questions and got very little information back. The tutor did mention that she wasn't an expert in south asian cooking and had only made the recipes once before, and it showed. The venue was freezing and they also had a problem with the electricity so we couldn't cook for approx 45mins. When we tested the food it was unedible. We feel like we've wasted a lot of money. All the helpers were lovely and I think the concept is fab but unfortunately this course didn't match up to the course advertised.”

“Myself and my partner were really looking forward to this class, as we booked it long in advance for a date night. We attended something similar at an Italian class that was really good so we were excited. However this fell way way way below our lowest expectation. We were seated outside in a tent with the cold breeze and extremely loud music not exactly setting a nice tone for the evening. However the main issue being when we sat down to start cooking our food the electric hobs would not work for longer than 30 seconds. After 60-90 minutes of sitting around watching a non boiling pan of water and chopped veg, the hobs finally started to work after a lot of electrical messing around by the host, had it have been 5 minutes later I’d have left. However we cracked on with the cooking, the dishes we made were not tasty at all, the crowd of us there were laughing between ourselves at the poor quality of the ingredients, utensils, teaching and recipes. The company of the others was the only thing that made the experience anything remotely okay. It’s safe to say we learnt nothing from the experience, the chef lacked knowledge and said she’d only made these dishes once before. On the way home at 10pm we stopped off for something to eat. This class shouldn’t be put on eve again and was a huge disappointment. I’m not one to leave a review, or ever complain, I’ll just happily crack on, but at this price I leave the evening feeling robbed, hungry and have wasted my Friday evening. I hope to be contacted further regarding my experience this evening.”

“The team/volunteers were very friendly and it was a nice vibe and a good company. They were accommodating and managed to figure out technical issues with the cooking stations. Unfortunately I don't think the food was very nice or especially interesting and the ingredients weren't in the best state. I'd recommend a rethink on the menu and dont think this worked well as a venue especially given the price point.”
