Join expert tutor Kathleen Laurel Sage for a delightful embroidery workshop in Oakley, near Bedford, and learn how to create your own charming needle case. Inspired by a 'home sweet home' country house and garden theme, this is a wonderful activity for anyone with a love for needlework.
Spend the day in our welcoming studio as you craft a beautiful, soft-covered case to keep your precious sewing needles safe and sound. Kathleen will guide you through every step of this creative process. You will learn the techniques and placement of traditional embroidery stitches and gain valuable insights into colour theory to confidently bring your unique design to life.
This workshop is a fantastic opportunity to either learn new skills or refresh your existing ones in a friendly and supportive environment.
You will leave with a beautifully finished needle case to treasure forever, along with a renewed confidence in your embroidery abilities. It’s a truly fulfilling experience that provides a peaceful escape and a lovely handmade item to take home.
Good to know:
- The venue has parking. Upon arrival, park in the car park at the front of the shop. Unload your vehicle into your classroom. Staff will then advise you where to park your car for the day at the rear of the complex.
- There is disabled parking and ramps allowing access to all areas. There is a disabled toilet.
Staff will help anyone in need of assistance. Shop on-site selling an enormous range of goods relating to crafting: dressmaking, patchwork & quilting, knitting & crochet, sewing machines, and furniture.
- There is a coffee shop on-site called O for Coffee. Attendees at our classes are visited by coffee shop staff regularly throughout the day to take any orders. Anything consumed during your day is sold at a 10% discount. As well as a large choice of hot and cold drinks, the menu comprises savoury choices including sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes, and soups. For those with a sweet tooth, there is a selection of cakes and scones made in-house with gluten-free and vegan options.
