Candle making is a great activity to enjoy with friends and family, either for a special occasion or as a way to catch up whilst doing something creative. If you're looking for birthday party ideas or want an excuse to spend some time with your loved ones - try this candle making class and learn new skills together! Alternatively, attend solo and enjoy some time to yourself to enjoy a new craft alongside like-minded others.

Taught by the expert candle making team at Bonita Candles, you'll be guided through every step of the candle making process, taking inspiration from your teacher's experiences. You'll learn how to melt your wax, add fragrances and hand-pour your wax into suitable containers.

Learning how to make candles is a relaxing and easygoing activity, and by the end of your class, you'll have a great appreciation of the process. You'll go away with a selection of wonderful handmade candle to keep, as well as lots of new skills to use independently for future projects.

“Great class for anyone new to candle-making! You learn so much, it's hands-on and you take home a variety of your own homemade candles. Pauline is friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about candles. With tea and cake added in, what better way to spend time than learning this wonderful new skill. I am looking forward to booking onto Part 2!!”

“Absolutely brilliant experience. Pauline is a fantastic teacher. I learnt so much and came home with several examples of candles and melts. Far more than I expected from an introductory course. The atmosphere was relaxed, fun and friendly, but everything was very professional with excellent preparation and provision of equipment, and attention to safety. I was also really impressed by Pauline's communication beforehand, detailing location and nearby carparks and parking information. Snacks and drinks were provided and the home-baked cake was delicious, thanks Pauline's mum! A great value experience, which I would highly recommend to anyone interested in candle making. I can't wait to get started on putting my new skills into action.”

“Everybody was so warm and welcoming, but Pauline especially knocked it out if the park every step of the way! Loved learning something new and how various different types of candles are made with different kind of wax and wicks. Everybody’s turned out so beautiful and you get such wide variety of bits to take home with you; not just candles, but wax melts too! Pauline was super helpful and patient with us, even if we did a step wrong. I found this very therapeutic and will look into bringing my mother back here as I know she’d be interested too!”

“Really enjoyed the class today. Pauline and her mum, Olga, are fantastic hosts. Learnt a lot and walked away with some beautifully fragranced candles. It was a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Can’t wait to do another class with Bonita Candles. Cheap parking is only a few feet away. All instructions for the class and directions are very clear. Communication was great.”
