This is a fun activity in Manchester

Discover the calming joy of needle felting in this hands-on workshop at Station South -- This fabulous community cycle café is a beautifully restored building that was once a train station. It sits on top of a bridge, underneath which is the fallowfield loop- which is an absolutely gorgeous hidden gem to cycle or walk. Station South has great view, an urban garden, music, food and even a bar!

You’ll create your own 3D beehive complete with adorable bees, using high-quality wool and specialised felting tools.

Never tried felting before? No worries! This class is perfect for all experience levels, especially beginners. You’ll be gently guided through each step, with plenty of support to help you feel confident and creative.

**What to expect:**
- Learn the art of needle felting using barbed felting needles.
- Create a 3D beehive and bees from wool.
- Work with premium materials in a relaxed, social setting.
- Step-by-step guidance throughout the session.
- Connect with like-minded crafters in a welcoming space.

By the end, you’ll take home your handmade beehive -- a sweet reminder of the joy that comes from trying something new!

Alisha was very communicative even before the workshop. I had requested a private session for my partner’s birthday and Alisha was more than happy to host us. The day of the workshop which was a wee surprise for my partner’s birthday was so lovely. We met at the Tea Hive cafe (very lovely place) and Alisha slowly coached us through the process of needle felting. She was very good at teaching but also just having a chat with us and keeping us engaged. I would highly recommend her workshops to anyone that is new to needle felting. She has been doing needle felting for over 10 years so she is very good at it. My partner and myself will definitely be going to more of her workshop.
