This fun in-person craft class is held in Camden Town, London NW1. You'll get to learn a new skill while having a fun afternoon or evening out or relaxing after work - not to mention with going home with your own unique decorated pebble/s to enjoy.
This course is designed for complete beginners - no previous experience in crafts making, basketry, or macrame needed.
This (and all my courses) is designed for adults. I do not currently offer classes for children and teenagers.
During the 2.5 hour session, you'll learn how to do two to three different styles of wrapping, to create your own unique wrapped pebble/s.
Add a twig, nail, or washer for added detail, or stay with just the natural rattan fibres. The rattan we will be working with is a stiff fibre, usually used for basket weaving and when wet is flexible - as it dries out it becomes strong and solid.
To wrap the rocks / pebbles, we will be weaving and winding the wet rattan firmly around them, in different patterns to create decorative, textured effects before securely tucking the ends in.
Don't worry if you're new to crafts - this class is designed for beginners. With a small group size of just 3 students, your experienced instructor will guide you through the process, ensuring you feel confident every step of the way.
All the materials you need will be provided, so simply come along on your own or with friends to enjoy a fun and creative session. As you create your custom rock/s you'll experience the satisfaction of seeing your designs come to life. By the end of the class, you'll have at least one (probably 2) gorgeous decorative pebble to take home and enjoy.
