Join this engaging workshop and learn how to make your very own fused glass decorations!

You'll be guided through the basic skills involved in fused glass, including how to cut glass to a pattern, use glass stringers, work with powdered frits (glass powders), and apply enamel paint pens to bring your designs to life.

This is a beginner's course held in a supportive, learner-friendly environment. You don't need any prior experience, as your instructor will be there to help. There will be a number of lovely designs to pick from on the day, allowing you to focus on enjoying the creative process.

You'll leave the class feeling inspired by this unique craft, taking home your own beautiful fused glass decorations, ready to display or give as a thoughtful gift.

“This was the first time I had worked with fused glass and I'm not a particularly creative person but I do enjoy trying new things. April provided all the tools that we needed including safety glasses and gloves, and, as they are small classes (up to 7 people in total), she was able to give each of us the attention that we needed. She showed us how to score glass and shape it as needed with the tools provided. In 2 hours, we all made two decorations - a flower and a heart from her templates and we had complete freedom as to the colour of glass that we chose for our decorations. Obviously you won't be able to take home your creations on the day of the workshop as they need to be put in the kiln for about a week before April sends them out to you (or you can collect them). After the workshop, April places a little loop in each of them so you can hang them at home. I'm pretty pleased with my decorations for a first timer! I've attached photographs of the before and after to show what to expect from the class and also how the fusing process changes the appearance. In conclusion, April teaches her craft really well and I would thoroughly recommend this workshop to anyone. I do wonder if a Christmas tree decoration themed fused glass workshop could be fun too. ;o)”
