This is a fun activity in Bollington, Manchester
In this fun and festive printmaking workshop, children will design and print their own set of handmade Christmas cards to take home and share. Whether they go for a bold bauble design, colourful abstract shapes, or classic winter botanicals, each child will create something truly unique.
During the session, children will:
- Learn the basics of lino cut design and printing
- Develop their own festive card ideas
- Learn to use lino tools safely and confidently
- Do a quick warm-up print to practise techniques
- Carve and print their chosen Christmas design
- Take home a set of ten hand-printed cards (with envelopes)
The workshop is friendly and beginner-friendly, with plenty of guidance throughout. By the end, everyone will have a lovely batch of handmade cards and a great introduction to the craft of linocut printing.
All of Hope Press’s classes take place in our beautiful studio in Bollington. Found in historic Adelphi Mill, the studio is light, comfortable and warm. It is fully equipped for printmaking with a range of high-end printmaking equipment from etching presses to a screen printing table. Facilities for tea, coffees and have a breather also available!
