Colourful Christmas Decorations - for kids!
We'll be working with real clay that needs to be fired in a kiln (not like air dried clay or playdough) - your pieces will last forever, to be dug out of the loft and admired, year after year.
We'll start with a slab of white clay as our canvas. Then we'll use some coloured clays and paints to create fun patterns in the clay. You'll cut out your shapes using our selection of cookie cutters (stars, circles, Christmas shapes and a variety of animals) and then finish off your pieces with stamps or paints. Each child will make around 5-8 decorations, depending on the size.
*Not a drop off - please book accordingly and take part in the workshop/assist your child or children throughout. A minimum of 1 adult per 3 children is required. For example, an adult bringing 2 children would need to book 1 x £25 ticket plus 1 x £15 ticket.
The pieces take around 1 week to be fired, so you'll need to come back to the studio and pick them up. We can also post the items to you for an additional £5 - just let us know and provide your address on the day of the workshop.
Tea, coffee, juice and biscuits provided.
We think aged 6-10 would enjoy this workshop most, but you're welcome to bring a child of any age.
