This is a fun activity in Twickenham, London
This can be a drop and go workshop for your child or you are welcome to stay and take part as well as long as you purchase a place (discount for booking two).
Where imagination meets sustainability. If you're looking for a fun and meaningful activity for your child then this is for you. Let your child dive into a world of creative upcycling - turning everyday items into colourful, one of a kind masterpieces. Fun, hands on planet-friendly crafting for curious young makers.
This is a sustainable, upcycling workshop where children will also learn about sustainability and the circular economy in a fun and interactive way. I will also teach them about recycling vs upcycling and how small changes can help our planet.
Your child will learn how to upcycle pre-loved items using paint, decoupage and decorative effect techniques such as stenciling. Bring along a non-breakable bowl, picture frame, mirror or box or plate and children will learn how to give it a whole new life with paint and/or decoupage. There will be lots of choice of paint and patterns available. I ask that children bring something from home as this is a sustainable workshop but I am also able to provide an item but please let me know.
This is suitable for children from Year 3 to Year 7 with a maximum number of 8 places so that it is a small group hands on experience.
I have 15 years experience of teaching in Primary schools and I was formerly an Assistant Headteacher so your child is in good hands.
This will be held at my new Vintage Chic ReLoved Studio, Ferry Lane, Shepperton which has a Cafe which serves lovely food and coffee so this could be an opportunity to meet friends whilst your child is learning about the environment. There is also a hairdresser and a beautician on site.
