This is a fun activity in King’s Cross, London
Enjoy a creative session at this Lippan art workshop in St Albans. It's an uplifting opportunity to discover a traditional mural art form, traditionally known as mud and mirror work, which uses a unique combination of clay and mirrors to create beautiful, intricate patterns.
You'll start by choosing your project, selecting from over 10 decorative designs or a "Jharokha" mirror frame piece with doors. Your teacher will be by your side to guide you through the process, showing you how to work the clay into detailed shapes and how to select and place your mirrors for the best outcome. The session is low-pressure and designed for first-timers, so you can focus on the joy of creating rather than worrying about perfection. To finish, you'll paint your artwork and add the final touches to ensure you can hang your piece safely at home.
You'll leave with a sense of accomplishment and a one-of-a-kind handmade keepsake that's ready to show off.
