This is a fun activity in Chipping Sodbury, Bristol

Come join us in Chipping Sodbury for an evening of life drawing and fun. We're a relaxed chatty group, we're very much about enjoying creating rather than producing beautiful works of art. All skill levels are very welcome, including complete beginners. You won't be expected to show your art, although of course if you'd like to share it we'd love to see it!

We have a professional male model with a lot of experience.

There's no formal tuition, just rock up and draw. I'll bring along some materials but you're more than welcome to bring your own.

The session was easy to get into, as expected for an unguided life drawing class! Supplies were provided: pencils, charcoals, watercolours, paper and clipboards to rest on. Some attendees brought their own equipment too, depending on the mediums that they felt most comfortable with. The group leader, Laura, was very friendly and welcoming, and made everyone a cup of tea or coffee for the midway break (which was a lovely touch) and joined in on the drawing. We did a mixture of timings for each pose - 5/10/20 minutes - with 10 drawings produced over the course of the session. The session is still new, so it does feel like it’s still finding its feet - but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and the model seemed at ease in the venue and with the set up of the class. Any new attendees would feel very welcome in the class even if they’ve never experienced a life drawing session before. I’ll be attending again in future!
