This is a fun activity in Balham, London

Join this Jesmonite and candle making class and enjoy a full creative experience from start to finish. You'll combine cocktails, music, and games with the rewarding process of crafting your own refillable scented candle completely from scratch – and yes, that includes making the jar too!

You'll begin by creating a unique vessel using eco-friendly Jesmonite. You'll have the chance to choose your own colours and learn various marbling techniques to ensure your jar has a polished, one-of-a-kind finish. Once your piece is sealed and cured, you'll move on to the candle making itself. You'll learn how to hand-pour a scented soy candle using premium oils and a crackling wood wick.

There's no need to wait weeks to collect your work; you'll take everything home with you on the same day. If you find yourself obsessed with your new creation, refills are available to keep the glow going.

It's a wonderful way to switch off and find your spark, leaving you with a beautiful, handmade keepsake that will brighten up your home.

I attended this candle making experience for Mother’s Day with my mum and it was such a fantastic way to spend the day together. Yasmin, the founder of Cozy and Smug Club, organised a really thoughtful and well run experience. What made this class stand out is that you are not just pouring a candle. You actually create your candle from start to finish, beginning with making your own Jesmonite vessel and choosing your colours before moving on to selecting your fragrance. Everyone left with something completely unique and personal. The atmosphere was also great. There was music throughout the session, games to get everyone mingling, and a bar available if you wanted to purchase drinks. It felt very relaxed, welcoming, and fun. I had actually been struggling to find a candle making experience like this in South London, so I was really glad to come across it on ClassBento. Yasmin has clearly put a lot of thought into creating something that feels like a full experience rather than just a workshop. A really enjoyable event and a lovely way to celebrate a special occasion. I would definitely recommend it.
