Southlands Arts Centre is thrilled to secure the skills of the super Jan Richardson for this workshop.
Celebrate creativity, connection, and the joy of making something meaningful. Held the day before Mothering Sunday, this workshop is a lovely opportunity to spend time with someone special — whether that’s your mum, a family member, a friend, or simply yourself. You can also create a handmade gift for someone you cherish.
Enjoy a relaxed and inspiring morning learning traditional silver jewellery techniques with tutor Jan Richardson. With over 45 years’ experience and as co-author of Silver Jewellery Making, Jan brings deep expertise and a warm, encouraging teaching style. During the workshop, you’ll learn to make either:
- A pair of personalised earrings, choosing from a selection of focus beads, or
- Two silver rings, selecting from three different styles — perfect for stacking or gifting.
Please bring £20 for materials, payable directly to Jan. If you work quickly and make more pieces, or prefer to take your time, the materials cost will be adjusted accordingly.
Open to adult women aged 18+. Beginners and those with some experience are equally welcome.
