This is a fun activity in Woolwich, London
Join this hands-on resin art workshop in Woolwich and discover the calming craft of preserving flowers in clear resin. Designed for beginners and curious creatives, this session invites you to slow down and learn how to capture natural beauty in a lasting, tactile form.
You’ll be guided through the full resin layering process from preparing dried blooms to pouring and understanding cure stages using professional techniques that prioritise clarity, colour retention and care.
All botanical materials used in this workshop have a special story. They’ve been grown and harvested on a family farm in Suffolk before being carefully dried for your use. You’ll explore the connection between land and studio, learning which flowers preserve best and how to protect their colour and structure inside resin.
- What You’ll Learn
This session is designed to teach you the complete, start-to-finish process of creating a layered resin flower piece.
During the workshop you will:
- Learn how to preserve flowers using silica and why drying technique matters
- Clean and prepare delicate blooms for professional clarity
- Mix and pour resin confidently, understanding ratios, temperature and bubble control
- Design a balanced floral composition within a mould
- Learn how resin layering works, including timing between pours
Understand how and when to pour a second (top) layer
You will be taught the entire Part 2 process (the second layer pour) during this first session, demonstrated and completed using a pre-cured piece so you can fully see and understand the full workflow.
What You’ll Take Home
Because resin requires curing time between layers:
You will complete and finish a pre-cured resin piece during the session, you will not take home your own work. This course has been built so you will learn all the steps you need to know in one session and to then practice this at home and create your own work.
