Get into the festive spirit with a relaxed, beginner-friendly Christmas linoprint workshop in Mugdock Park! Over two creative hours, you’ll design, carve and print your own lino block before turning your design into a set of hand-printed Christmas cards.
Never tried linoprinting before? No worries! This workshop is perfect for beginners and you’ll be guided step-by-step through the whole process. You can create your own festive design from scratch or choose from a selection of Christmas templates if you’d rather get straight into carving.
What to expect:
- Learn the basics of lino printing, from tools to techniques.
- Create your own Christmas design, with festive templates available for inspiration.
- Carve your lino block with step-by-step guidance.
- Ink and hand-print your design.
- Create a set of handmade Christmas cards to take home.
- Enjoy some biscuits while you print.
The workshop is designed to be relaxed, creative and beginner-friendly, with plenty of time to enjoy the satisfying process of carving and printing.
You’ll leave with your own hand-carved lino block and a collection of festive cards ready to send to your favourite people, assuming you can bear to part with them!
