This is a fun activity in Camberwell, London
On the third Thursday of each month, join us for a textiles workshop in London as the Remakery Textiles Room opens for you to focus on your own alterations or upcycling project in a supportive, creative space.
You don’t need to be experienced -- this is a relaxed, beginner-friendly session where you can bring something along and get practical guidance as you work.
**What to expect:**
- Bringing your own item to alter, repair, or upcycle.
- Access to a fully equipped textiles space, including cutting tables, sewing machines, and an industrial overlocker.
- Guidance from Partner Practitioner Alice Holloway throughout your session.
- Learning and applying a range of beginner-friendly sewing and alteration techniques.
- A relaxed, open workshop environment to work at your own pace.
By the end of the session, you’ll have made progress on your project and gained practical skills and confidence to continue altering and upcycling your own pieces.
This class is a follow on from 'Learn To Use a Sewing Machine'. You will progress much quicker if you can already thread a sewing machine and know how to change stitches. If you have no experience on a sewing machine then you will be guided with hand sewing techniques.
