This is a fun activity in Ripon, Harrogate
Join me for a relaxed and welcoming beginner crochet workshop in Ripon, where you'll discover the joy of creating something with your own hands while learning a skill you'll enjoy for years to come.
Whether you've never picked up a crochet hook before, have struggled to learn from online videos, or simply want to try something new, this workshop is the perfect place to begin. With a maximum of just seven participants, you'll receive plenty of individual guidance while enjoying the encouragement of learning alongside other beginners in a friendly, supportive environment.
As a crochet designer, technical editor and tutor, I bring real industry experience to every workshop. My designs have been published in Crochet Now, Inside Crochet and Knotions magazines, and I was delighted to design the Crochet Society's 2025 Advent CAL. I love sharing the knowledge I've gained through designing professionally, but my greatest enjoyment comes from helping others discover just how rewarding crochet can be.
My aim is always to create a relaxed, encouraging atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. There are no silly questions here - everyone starts somewhere, and I'll be with you every step of the way.
What to expect:
Learn the basics of crochet, including how to get started and master essential stitches such as chain, double crochet and treble.
Receive plenty of practical tips and tricks to help you build confidence and avoid common beginner mistakes.
Take home a beginner's starter pack so you can continue practising after the workshop.
Relax in a cosy, welcoming space while enjoying tea, coffee, cake and biscuits.
By the end of the workshop, you'll have the confidence and skills to continue your crochet journey at home, along with the knowledge to start your very first crochet project.
