Join Natasha for this gorgeous workshop that pairs yin yoga with a meditative art session, giving you the chance to switch off, unwind, and get creative all in one go.
Yin yoga is all about slowing right down. Rather than moving dynamically from pose to pose, you'll settle into gentle shapes and hold them for a few minutes at a time, allowing your muscles to relax so the deeper connective tissues – your fascia, ligaments, and joints – can be gently worked. This stillness helps release tension and calms the nervous system, guiding you into a restful, almost meditative state. It's less about effort and more about simply allowing yourself to be, giving you space to turn inward, notice your breath, and create room both physically and mentally. No yoga experience is needed, and if you have any injuries, Natasha will help you adjust – there's always the option to lie back, get cosy, and soak up the music and atmosphere instead.
Once you've settled into the yin practice, you'll move into the creative art portion of the workshop. With the body softened and the mind quieter, it's much easier to tap into a natural, intuitive form of expression. Rather than focusing on skill or technique, you'll simply respond to how you feel, letting shapes, lines, and textures emerge freely. The yin practice clears mental clutter and physical tension beforehand, so once you pick up a pencil, creativity flows more easily. You'll try a few different art-making methods, including a favourite of Natasha's: a linked breathwork and line drawing exercise.
By the end, you'll leave feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to your creative side – and with a few simple techniques you can carry into your everyday life.
