Are you a Cath Kidston in the making? Hypnotised by the intricate tile patterns of the Arab world? Join this block printing class and discover how to design and print your very own repeating block pattern from scratch. Whether you're inspired by timeless vintage textiles or intricate geometric tile patterns, this hands-on workshop is a wonderful, low-pressure way to switch off and learn a traditional craft. You'll be guided through the entire process by a friendly expert, making it completely perfect for beginners.

During the class, you'll:

- Sketch your ideas – Explore different concepts and map out a repeating pattern that fits your personal style.
- Carve your block – Learn how to safely use specialised tools to carve your unique design into a wood-backed lino block.
- Print your artwork – Mix and roll out oil colours of your choice, experiencing the satisfying spark of joy as your pattern comes to life on the page.

This therapeutic experience will kickstart your next creative obsession, showing you just how easy it is to create custom designs for everything from wallpapers to home decor. You'll walk away with your custom-carved lino block and a selection of beautiful prints to show off at home.

In this second class we'll be looking at how to make an interlocking repeating pattern and print it onto a piece of calico 75cm x 100cm

“Another very enjoyable class thank you Ben. We did more lino cutting but this time making a design that can be used in a circular repeating pattern as may be used on tiles or textiles. I was with a group of friends and it was a lovely way to spend an afternoon learning a new technique. Look forward to next month’s class.”
